MODEL GEOSPASIAL POTENSI KERENTANAN TSUNAMI KOTA PADANG

Kondisi geografis Kota Padang yang landai di bagian tengah dan berbukit-bukit disekelilingnya menyebabkan aktifitas manusia terpusat di lokasi yang landai tersebut. Apabila terjadi bencana gempabumi, yang diikuti tsunami, akan menimbulkan korban yang cukup besar, karena terjadi penumpukan objek vital, infrastruktur dan aktivitas manusia di daerah landai. Jumlah korban dapat dikurangi dengan menghitung potensi kerentanan tsunami sebagai sumber bencananya. Faktor resiko meliputi sebaran penduduk, objek vital, dan infrastruktur. Perkalian factor resiko dan sumber bencana akan dimodelkan secara spasial, sehingga diperoleh klasifikasi area berdasarkan tingkat kerentanan terhadap bencana tsunami di Kota Padang, dimana yang paling tinggi adalah Kecamatan Kuranji dan Kecematan Padang Utara, dan yang paling rendah potential risk nya adalah Kecamatan Lubuk Kilangan.
Kota Padang’s topography show that there’s a slope in the middle of city and hilly surrounds it caused centralization on those slope location. If earthquake occurred, followed by tsunamis, it will be a great number of victims, because there are an accumulation of critical objects, infrastructures, and human activities on that slope. Reducing victims could be done by calculating tsunami -as disaster source- vulnerability potential. Disaster vulnerability potential risk factor consists of demography, critical objects, and infrastructures. Multiplication of risk factor and disaster potential will be shown in spatial model, so that we can get the area classification based on level of tsunami disaster vulnerability of Kota Padang, and the highest level is Kecamatan Kuranji and Kecamatan Padang Utara, and the lowest level is Kecamatan Lubuk Kilangan.
