Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The article is in Microsoft Office Word using Times New Roman font, 10, single space, and A4 paper. The margin is 2.5-2.5-2.5-2.5 (left-top-right-bottom).
  • Each article will be given the test of grammar structure, plagiarism and AI detection.

    2. Similarity Check < 15%
    3. AI Detection < 30%
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Writing Article Guidance for Jurnal Meteorologi dan Geofisika 

Editor policies

Writing Article for Jurnal Meteorologi dan Geofisika is published twice a year, in June and December, containing papers/articles about the ideas and research written by experts, educators, scientists, and practitioners in the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics study.

General requirements:

  1. The article's length is between 3000 and 4000 words (including bibliography, notes, and tables).
  2. Attach a statement that the article has not been published in any other publication or form.
  3. Each article will be given the test of grammar structure, plagiarism and AI detection.
  4. The article consists of 9 components:

TITLE: USE CAPITAL LETTER, BLACK, LEFT INDENT, BOLD

The sections in the article do not use chapters (except for the research result and the discussion). Still, the indicators that the components or sections in the article stated can be seen in the first sentence in the first paragraph.

  1. The article is delivered using the following components:

Title: Maximum 15 words for the article in English. The font used is Times New Roman, 14, and bold.

The writer’s name: The writer’s name is written under the title using Times New Roman, 10, bold, without titles, and cannot be shortened. Under the writer's name, the areas of expertise, the institution name, and the writer's email address are written.

Abstract: no more than 250 words, written in English in one paragraph containing the research objectives, research methodology, data analysis, and research findings. It is typed using Times New Roman font, 10, single space.

Keyword: Maximum 5 words, separated with a comma, typed using double space under the abstract. [font Times New Roman, 10, single space, italic]

Introduction: The introduction is written using capital letters [font Times New Roman, 12, bold] containing the background with problem-solving, the urgency, and rationalization of activities, bibliography, solution plan, the objective of the activity, and hypothesis development. [font Times New Roman, 10, Normal]

Methodology: Research methodology explains the approach, scope or object, operational definition in each variable/description of research focus, place, population, sample/informant, main source and tool, the technique of data collection, and technique of data analysis. [font Times New Roman, 10, Normal]

Findings and Discussion: The findings are presented in full and related to the scope of the research determined before. The findings can be completed with tables, graphs, and/or charts. The tables and pictures are given number and title. The result of data analysis is explained correctly in the article. The discussion part logically explains the findings associated with the relevant sources. [Times New Roman, 10, Normal]

Conclusion and Suggestion: The conclusion summarizes the findings and discussion. The conclusion is the findings in the research that have the answers to the research questions or the objective of the research. The research findings suggest or contribute to developing the application and/or the study. [Times New Roman, 10, Normal]

References: References should be using reference manager (Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote, etc). References should contain of minimum 25 libraries with doi included. References proportion of 80% primary references (journal articles, proceedings, theses) and at least 80% published in the last 5 years. Citation and bibliography must be written in IEEE style.
