PARAMETER TROPOSFER DAN TROPOPAUSE DI KOTOTABANG DAN HUBUNGANNYA DENGAN PROSES PENJALARAN GELOMBANG PANJANG

Makalah ini memuat analisis terhadap variabilitas parameter troposfer dan tropopause di Kototabang dan hubungannya dengan temperatur permukaan. Parameter troposfer dan tropopause dihitung dari data Radiosonde yang diluncurkan di Loka Pengamatan Atmosfer dan Antariksa di Kabupaten Agam, Sumatera Barat 100,32o BT; 0,20o LS, dengan ketinggian 865 m di atas permukaan laut. Data radiosonde dibagi menjadi dua bagian yaitu data periode November 2002 dan April 2004 yang diperoleh dari RISH Kyoto University, dan yang kedua adalah data Radiosonde terbaru diperoleh langsung melalui mini campaign yang dilaksanakan oleh PSTA-LAPAN pada Agustus 2016 dan Maret 2018. Kumpulan data di atas digunakan untuk mempelajari variasi musiman, variasi harian parameter troposfer dan tropopause, seperti lapse rate troposfer dan tropopause (LRT), suhu terdingin tropoposfer/tropopause (CPT-T), ketinggian suhu terdingin tropopause (CPT-H), ketebalan troposfer (CPT-D). Dari dua kelompok data di atas diperoleh nilai CPT-T antara -77,49° C hingga 95,11° C. Suhu terdingin dicapai pada ketinggian 14700 m hingga 18750 m. Ketebalan tropopause adalah ketinggian suhu terdingin dikurangi ketinggian tempat peluncuran (865 m). Lapse rate di troposfer bervariasi dalam rentang yang cukup lebar -17o hingga 18o setiap 100 m. Pengujian terhadap korelasi antara suhu permukaan dan ketebalan troposfer diharapkan menghasilkan korelasi positif, karena secara teoritis panas atmosfer yang diteruskan secara vertikal ditentukan oleh nilai awal panas radiasi gelombang panjang di permukaan, namun beberapa hasil menunjukkan nilai korelasi negatif kecil dan nol. Analisis mengenai hal ini disampaikan pada diskusi.
