ANALISIS DAERAH ENDEMIK BENCANA AKIBAT CUACA EKSTRIM DI SUMATERA UTARA

Bencana alam akibat cuaca ekstrim telah mengambil banyak korban jiwa dan menyebabkan kerusakan di seluruh wilayah Indonesia, salah satunya di Sumatera Utara. Peristiwa ini menarik perhatian masyarakat karena daya rusaknya yang besar terhadap kehidupan manusia. Analisis daerah bencana akibat cuaca ekstrim telah dilakukan terhadap Sumatera Utara. Dengan menggunakan statistik terhadap data dari Database Bencana Alam, dipetakan daerah yang memiliki intensitas tinggi bencana dengan tujuan membangun kesadaran pemerintah daerah setempat mengenai daerahnya. Diperoleh bahwa terdapat dua daerah yang memiliki resiko dampak terbesar terkena bencana. Daerah-daerah tersebut adalah Medan dan Deli Serdang.
Natural disasters due to extreme weather have taken many casualties and caused damage throughout Indonesia, one of which is in North Sumatera. They drew people’s attention because of their catastrophic impact to human lives. Analyses of disaster regions due to these extreme weather events have been done in North Sumatera. Using statistic from Natural Disaster Database, we try to map which region has higher intensity imposed by disaster in order to build local authorities awareness to their region. Apparently, there are two regions which having high disaster risk. They are Medan and Deli Serdang.
