Two numerical simulation models were used to simulate extreme rainfall on January 10, 2009 that caused flood in Mataram, i.e. WRF EMS (Weather Research and ForecastingEnvironmental Modeling System) and IDW (Inverse Distance Weighted), respectively. The result based on 15 km and 5 km resolusions were compared with the distribution pattern on the same date. The 15 km resolution on IDW method showed value of R 0.43 and RMSE 83.24 for January 10, 2009, whilst the average correlation, correction and RMSE for January 5-11, 2009 are respectively 0.30, 41.60 and -5.25 m, respectively.
